Parul Ramkrishna Sarada High School, embarked on its educational journey in 1962 under the name Parul Senior Basic School. It was established with a noble mission: to inculcate the light of education in one of the backward regions of the Arambagh Municipality. The visionaries behind this initiative recognized the transformative power of education and were determined to make a difference in the lives of the local community.
The founding of this institution was spearheaded by Mr. Tapan Kanti Roy, a distinguished educationist with a deep commitment to societal upliftment. Alongside him was Mr. Manmatha Nath Koner, the Assistant Headmaster of a neighbouring school, whose dedication to education and the community was unwavering. They were joined by Dr. Mahadev Bhandari, a respected and renowned doctor known not just for his medical expertise but also for his compassion and service to the people. Together with other like-minded villagers who shared their vision, they laid the foundation of this school as a part of their collective social responsibility and commitment to the welfare of future generations.
The school, starting with humble beginnings, achieved significant milestones over the years. In 1968, just six years after its inception, it was elevated to the level of a high school, offering education up to the 10th grade. This upgrade was a significant achievement and marked a new chapter in the school’s history, allowing it to cater to a broader spectrum of students. Continuing its path of growth and development, in 2002, the school was further upgraded to a Higher Secondary level institution, providing students the opportunity to complete their education up to the 12th grade within the same supportive environment.
Throughout its existence, Parul R.K.S. High School has remained steadfast in its commitment to the all-round development of its students. The school’s dedicated teachers have always gone above and beyond their call of duty, nurturing not just the academic but also the moral and ethical growth of their pupils. The non-teaching staff, often working behind the scenes, have played an equally crucial role in maintaining the smooth functioning of the school, ensuring that students have a conducive environment for learning.
Equally important is the role of the guardians, whose support and collaboration with the school have been instrumental in shaping the educational experiences of their children. The school’s proactive managing committee has consistently demonstrated strong leadership, steering the institution through various challenges over the decades.
